# Al-Matin

**الْمَتِينُ** — The Forceful

The One whose strength is unshakeable and whose power can never be diminished.

**Source:** Zâriyât 51:58 (51:58)

**Virtue:** Al-Matin declares the solidity, steadfastness, and unshakable firmness of Allah's strength; if Al-Qawiyy expresses 'power,' Al-Matin expresses 'the solidity of that power.' In Surah adh-Dhariyat 51:58 He says: 'Indeed, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of strength, the Firm.' The servant who reflects on this name recognizes Allah, the One who stands firm behind everything in life that sways, changes, and slips away. They know that worldly assurance—money, health, position—is temporary, but Al-Matin is never shaken; their only support is bound to Him.
