# Al-Wasi'

**الْوَاسِعُ** — The All Comprehending

The One whose mercy, knowledge, and power encompass all of creation without limit.

**Source:** Bakara 2:115 (2:115)

**Virtue:** Al-Wasi' declares that Allah's knowledge, mercy, grace, and forgiveness are without limit; no servant falls outside His mercy. In Surah al-Baqarah 2:115 He says: 'To Allah belongs the east and the west; wherever you turn, there is the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.' The servant who reflects on this name does not despair of Allah's mercy—if one door closes, a thousand more remain open in Al-Wasi''s hand. Their heart also expands: they forgive others' faults and do not abandon generosity in narrow times, because true expansiveness belongs only to Allah.
