# Ar-Rashid

**الرَّشِيدُ** — The Most Righteous Guide

The One who places everything in its proper place and directs His servants toward the right path.

**Source:** Hûd 11:87 (11:87)

**Virtue:** Ar-Rashid declares that Allah guides, points to the right path, and brings His servants to maturity. While Al-Hadi means 'the One who shows the way,' Ar-Rashid means 'the One who shows the way and accompanies until maturity.' In Surah Hud 11:78 Prophet Lut (peace be upon him) says to his people: 'Is there not among you a rashid (mature, rightly-acting) man?' The servant who reflects on this name seeks rushd within themselves—the matured unity of intellect, heart, and conduct. They ask Allah for guidance (irshad) in every stage of life.
