# As-Salam

**السَّلَامُ** — The Source of Peace

The One who is free from all faults and grants peace and safety to His servants, guiding them out of every danger.

**Source:** Haşr 59:23 (59:23)

**Virtue:** As-Salam declares that Allah is entirely free of every defect, flaw, and harm—and that He grants peace and safety to His creation. This blessed name also appears as the greeting of paradise that believers will hear upon entry. After every obligatory prayer the Prophet (peace be upon him) would say: 'O Allah, You are Peace and from You is peace.' Invoking As-Salam purifies the heart of hidden anxieties, fears, and the wounds of sin. The servant who reflects on this name finds inner tranquility and revives the Prophetic sunnah by spreading peace to those around them.
