# General

## Our Lord supplication

*A comprehensive supplication that can be recited at any time.*

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

*Rabbenâ âtinâ fid dünyâ haseneten ve fil âhireti haseneten ve kınâ azâbennâr.*

Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

> One of the most frequently recited supplications of the Prophet (PBUH).

## Supplication for all circumstances

*Can be recited during distress and at any time.*

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

*Lâ ilâhe illâ ente sübhâneke innî küntü minezzâlimîn.*

There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.

> The supplication of Prophet Yunus from inside the whale. No Muslim makes this supplication without it being answered.

## Supplication for guidance and steadfastness

*Can be recited anytime.*

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَالْعَزِيمَةَ عَلَى الرُّشْدِ وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ

*Allâhümme innî es'elükes sebâte fil emri vel azîmete aler ruşdi ve es'elüke şükra ni'metike ve hüsne ibâdetike.*

O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in affairs, determination upon guidance, gratitude for Your blessings, and excellence in worshipping You.

## Supplication for firmness of heart

*Recommended to be recited frequently.*

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

*Yâ mukallibel kulûbi sebbit kalbî alâ dînike.*

O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.

> The Prophet (PBUH) used to recite this supplication very frequently.

## Our Lord supplication (Al-Imran)

*Recited when seeking guidance and fearing deviation.*

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

*Rabbenâ lâ tüziğ kulûbenâ ba'de iz hedeytenâ ve heb lenâ min ledünke rahmeten inneke entel vehhâb.*

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

## Supplication for a good end

*Can be recited anytime.*

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُسْنَ الْخَاتِمَةِ

*Allâhümme innî es'elüke hüsnel hâtimeti.*

O Allah, I ask You for a good ending.

## Supplication for the Muslim Ummah

*Can be recited anytime for fellow Muslims.*

اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ، اللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ

*Allâhümme aslih ümmete Muhammed. Allâhümme ferric an ümmeti Muhammed. Allâhümmerham ümmete Muhammed.*

O Allah, set right the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, relieve the Ummah of Muhammad. O Allah, have mercy on the Ummah of Muhammad.

## In times of distress and grief

*Recited during times of distress and grief.*

اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

*Allâhümme rahmeteke ercû felâ tekilnî ilâ nefsî tarfete aynin ve aslih lî şe'nî küllehû lâ ilâhe illâ ente.*

O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye, and rectify all my affairs. None has the right to be worshipped except You.

## Supplication for goodness of both worlds

*Can be recited anytime.*

اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

*Allâhümme aslih lî dîniyelleẕî hüve ısmetü emrî ve aslih lî dünyâyelletî fîhâ meâşî ve aslih lî âhiratîlletî fîhâ meâdî vec'alil hayâte ziyâdeten lî fî külli hayrin vec'alil mevte râhaten lî min külli şerrin.*

O Allah, set right my religion which is the safeguard of my affairs. Set right my worldly life in which is my livelihood. Set right my Hereafter to which is my return. Make life a means of increase for me in every good and make death a relief for me from every evil.

## When sneezing

*Said when sneezing. Others respond with 'Yarhamukallah' (May Allah have mercy on you). The sneezer replies: 'Yahdikumullah wa yuslihu balakum' (May Allah guide you and rectify your affairs).*

*Elhamdülillâh.*
