At VAAZ ("we", "the app"), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the VAAZ mobile application, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

VAAZ may collect the following data to improve service quality and provide core features:

## Third-Party Services

VAAZ uses the following third-party services to operate the app. Each of these services has its own privacy policy:

## Data Storage and Local Storage

Server-side data (account, chat history, quiz results) is stored on Convex cloud servers for as long as your account is active. On your local device, app state data such as theme preferences, dhikr counts, streak tracking, and badge progress is stored via AsyncStorage/MMKV. External API responses such as prayer times and mosque data are cached on your device for performance. When you delete the app, local data is automatically removed.

## Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transfers are encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Server-side data is protected by Convex's security infrastructure. Authentication is managed through secure session handling. Your personal information is never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

## Children's Privacy

VAAZ is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from this age group. If you become aware that a child under 13 has shared data, please contact us and we will promptly delete the relevant data.

## Your Rights

As a user, you have the following rights:

## Data Deletion

To close your account and request deletion of all your personal data, you can use the account settings within the app or send an email to support@getvaaz.com. Your deletion request will be processed within 30 days.

## Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Users will be notified of important changes via in-app notification or email. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the changes.
