الْمُعِزُّ
Al-Mu'izz
The One who grants honour, dignity, and strength to whomever He chooses, raising them in esteem.
Âl-i İmrân 3:26
Al-Mu'izz declares that Allah grants honor, dignity, and standing to whomever He wills. In Al 'Imran 3:26 Allah says: 'You are the true Owner of dominion. You give dominion to whom You will and remove dominion from whom You will; You honor whom You will (tu'izz) and humble whom You will.' True honor is found through faith, depth in knowledge, and elevation through servitude to Allah. Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), once enslaved, became the first muadhdhin of the Ummah through Islam—surpassing those of worldly rank. The servant who invokes Al-Mu'izz tastes the relief of seeking honor only from Allah.
'Iyad ibn Himar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah, Exalted is He, has revealed to me: "Humble yourselves to one another, so that no one boasts over another and no one oppresses another."' This hadith teaches that Allah joins true honor only with humility.
