Virtue

Ar-Rafi' declares that Allah elevates those who grow in faith, knowledge, taqwa, and service—the same power that upholds the pillars of the heavens also raises the rank of whomever He wills, in hearts and in the Hereafter. The Day of Judgment is described in Surah al-Waqi'a as one that 'raises,' and in al-Mujadila 58:11 Allah promises to raise the ranks of those who believe and have knowledge. The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that whoever humbles themselves for Allah will surely be raised by Him. The servant who invokes Ar-Rafi' remembers that true elevation comes not from station or fame but from rank with Allah.
