مَالِكُ الْمُلْكِ
Malik al-Mulk
The true and eternal owner of all dominion, who grants and takes away sovereignty as He wills.
Âl-i İmrân 3:26
Malik al-Mulk declares that Allah is the true owner of all dominion—the heavens, the earth, and everything within them belong to Him. In Surah Ali 'Imran 3:26 He says: 'Say: O Allah, Owner of the dominion, You give the dominion to whom You will and take it away from whom You will.' The servant who reflects on this name realizes that nothing in their home, their pocket, or their account truly belongs to them—all of it has been borrowed from Allah. This awareness increases generosity and lessens envy; instead of looking enviously at another's wealth, they say: 'That too is a slice from Allah's dominion.'
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will seize the earth and roll up the heavens with His right hand. Then He will say: "I am the King—where are the kings of the earth?"'
