Supplicating with Allah's beautiful names
Before any supplication.
وَلِلَّهِ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا
Ve lillâhil-esmâül-hüsnâ fed'ûhü bihâ.
And to Allah belong the most beautiful names, so call upon Him by them.
Al-A'raf 7/180
Ya Allah
General opening of supplication.
يَا اللَّهُ، يَا رَحْمَنُ، يَا رَحِيمُ
Yâ Allâh, yâ Rahmân, yâ Rahîm.
O Allah! O Most Merciful! O Most Compassionate!

Ya Hayy Ya Qayyum
In times of distress.
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Yâ hayyü yâ kayyûm, bi-rahmetike esteğîs.
O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining! I seek help through Your mercy.
The Prophet ﷺ recited this in moments of difficulty.

Ya Latif
For ease in difficult situations.
يَا لَطِيفُ ٱلْطُفْ بِنَا فِي قَضَائِكَ
Yâ Latîfül-tuf binâ fî kazâik.
O Subtle One! Be gentle with us in Your decree.

With repentance.
يَا سَتَّارُ، اسْتُرْ عُيُوبَنَا
Yâ Settâr, üstür uyûbenâ.
O Concealer! Veil our faults.

يَا وَهَّابُ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً

O Bestower! Grant us mercy from Your presence.

Ya Razzaq
When seeking sustenance.
يَا رَزَّاقُ ارْزُقْنَا رِزْقًا حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا
Yâ Rezzâkurzuknâ rızkan helâlen tayyibâ.
O Provider! Grant us lawful and pure provision.
Adh-Dhariyat 51/58
Ya Shafi
In times of illness.
يَا شَافِي اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ
Yâ Şâfîşfî, enteş-şâfî, lâ şifâe illâ şifâük.
O Healer! Grant healing. You are the Healer; there is no cure except Your cure.

يَا هَادِي اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

For spiritual light and guidance.
يَا نُورُ نَوِّرْ قَلْبِي
Yâ Nûru nevvir kalbî.

Closing of the 99 Names
At the end of reciting the 99 names.
اَللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى، أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ
Allâhümme yâ men lehül-esmâül-hüsnâ, es'elüke bi-külli ismin leke semmeyte bihî nefsek.
O Allah! O Owner of the most beautiful names! I ask You by every name You have called Yourself by.
